Announcing Split Patron – Expense Sharing and Splitting Mobile App

I have been working on a weekend project with my colleagues with the aim of providing a mobile application platform that would allow users to add and share expenses.

Split Patron, as the name suggests could work as your patron, or your friend to manage expenses and share a list that you could synchronize with your friend and family to manage purchases.

Note: The app has not yet been released on any app stores, this section will be updated when it’s released and ready.

How is it different than other competitors?

There are tons of mobile apps that could be used for managing and sharing expenses with your roommates, friends, or colleagues. Be it a family trip, or a trip with your friends, there are many other apps that help you manage and split your expenses.

However imagine a campaign trip with your friends, where you have a list of items to buy, or bring to the trip. What we usually do is create a messaging group, or add a shareable list in Apple Notes or another platform to collaborate on a list.

Utilizing Split Patron provides you with a collaborative platform for sharing synchronized lists with friends and family. This facilitates collective shopping efforts for events, ensuring that when one person makes a purchase, the list is automatically updated for all parties involved, thereby minimizing the risk of duplicate purchases.

When someone spends on items, the expense needs to be shared. Expense-splitting platforms like splitwise, splitter or even Venmo can help you split and settle your expenses with involved parties.

However, with the split patron app, you can do both of these things in one platform.
